The Sierra 1500 debuted its off-road focused AT4X AEV Edition that is available on the AT4X trim, and also welcomed an increased horsepower and torque for the turbodiesel engine. The AT4X AEV Edition is equipped with features like a steel front and rear bumper with recovery points and a winch is also located at the front of the vehicle. Power and Performance
The Sierra 1500 is equipped with capable powertrain options like its turbocharged 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque and comes standard on the Pro, SLE, and Elevation trims. There are also three other powertrain options, including the impressive turbodiesel 3.0-liter inline-six that produces 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque and is standard on the AT4 and Denali trims. The turbodiesel is available on the SLE, Elevation, and Denali models. Rear-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission is standard on the Sierra and four-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic is available. When properly equipped the Sierra 1500 can tow up to 13,200 bounds and has a maximum payload of 2,230 pounds.
The Titan only has one powertrain option which is the 5.6-liter V8 engine with 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, which is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Similar to the Sierra, the Titan is standard with rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive is available. The Titan’s max towing capacity is 11,033 pounds when properly equipped.
